Iranian company opens offices in Havana

Amid efforts by Cuba to increase food production on the island, Tehran-based irrigation systems maker Tadco opened an office in Havana, business weekly Opciones reported.

Although both governments have made great efforts to jump-start trade for at least five years, this is the first Iranian company to open a subsidiary in Cuba.

Tehran Agricultural Development Co. designs and installs pressurized irrigation systems. The opening of Tadco’s Havana office — at the Miramar business complex — comes after seven years of designing and installing hundreds of irrigation systems in Cuba.

Tadco, according to the Iranian ambassador in Cuba, is also interested in selling agricultural machinery and construction material.
